Vice President EV Operations, Valmet Automotive
Manuel Ötsch kam im Februar 2021 zu Valmet Automotive und wurde im Oktober 2022 zum Vice President EV Operations ernannt. In dieser Position ist Manuel Ötsch für alle Batteriewerke von Valmet Automotive sowie für die operative Entwicklung sowie Logistik verantwortlich. Zu Beginn seiner Karriere bei Valmet Automotive war der gebürtige Österreicher federführend am erfolgreichen Aufbau des Werks Kirchardt beteiligt, dem ersten Batteriewerk von Valmet Automotive in Deutschland. Vor seinem Wechsel zu Valmet Automotive war er acht Jahre lang für die Motherson-Gruppe tätig, wo Ötsch verschiedene Werke in Deutschland, den USA und Osteuropa leitete. Davor war der Maschinenbau- und Automatisierungsingenieur 12 Jahre lang bei Magna Mirrors in verschiedenen Führungspositionen in der Logistik und Werksleitung tätig.
Manuel Ötsch joined Valmet Automotive in February 2021 and was appointed Vice President EV Operations in October 2022. In this position Manuel is in charge for all EV plants of Valmet Automotive and the Operational Development and logistics. At the beginning of his career at Valmet Automotive, the native Austrian had a leading role in the successful establishment of the Kirchardt plant, Valmet Automotive's first battery plant in Germany. Before joining Valmet Automotive he worked for the Motherson Group for eight years, where Ötsch managed various plants in Germany, the USA and Eastern Europe. Prior to that, the mechanical and automation engineer spent 12 years at Magna Mirrors, where he held various management positions in logistics and plant management.

Strategically, Valmet Automotive focuses on electromobility through the development and manufacturing of battery modules and packs for electrified vehicles.
